[Blog Event] Culinary Smackdown Battle-Mango Desserts

Yesterday, I woke up to a mail from Amy of utry.it.Sitting on the couch, I was half asleep, yawning and read her mail with half closed eyes.Within seconds,there was an adrenaline rush!I won the March edition of Culinary Smackdown Battle-Cookies.YAY!I was so happy and excited the whole day.I am so thankful to Amy for choosing my recipe.

My winning entry was  Strawberry Nutella thumbprint cookies.I can’t believe that something so easy and created in a jiffy would become the most clicked recipe on my blog since the time I posted it.I would like to thank all my wonderful readers for the support and patience they have extended towards my kitchen antics.I really treasure the kindness shown by all of you.Thanks so much.You all are a lovely bunch

Carrying forward the “tradition” of being the Culinary Smackdown Battle winner,its my utmost pleasure to host the April edition of this event.Since many of us are setting into spring,I wanted to pick up something which is fresh,easily available and which I m crazy about as an ingredient.Additionally,I wanted to carry forward the sweet treat theme started by Amy.Secretly, I did not want to do away with a chance to make a dessert Don’t we all keep on looking for reasons to make one? What say? Obviously, it was not a difficult task to pick one of my most favorite fruits – mangoes as the theme for the battle.

Yes you read it right,the April Edition of Culinary Smackdown will be Battle Mango Desserts.Who can say no to a sweet delight made with luscious mangoes.I can’t.All you have to do is to make a dessert with mangoes of any variety – raw, ripe, unripe , green or yellow and link it below using the linky tool.For maximum participation, I would also allow sweet,cold/hot beverages with mangoes.Just make sure that whatever you make,mango has to be the shining or main ingredient in your recipe.

Having said that let start your creative juices flowing and make something delightful with mangoes.The more original and creative you are, the more fun the battle would be.I have no doubt that the winning recipe will be a treat to eyes and feast to the belly.

• I will select and announce one winner who will also host the next month’s edition of this contest on April 3oth, 2011.
• Only One entry per person please.
• It is compulsory to link back to this post on your blog.
• The entry does not have to be a new post.It can be an archived post.Just ensure that its your best recipe because after all its a contest.
• The Smackdown Battle is open to anyone, anywhere in the world.
• More than a contest, the purpose of this battle is to reach out to lots of bloggers and foodies around the globe, share culinary ideas and have fun.
